Sissonne 1
A jump brush step. A basic step. Named after the originator of the step. Your legs work like scissors. There are many variations on this step. You can land on one foot in an open position, to the second or arabesque, then assemblé close. Also, you can change feet or not. A very important step to learn. The most popular is to the side, landing in a closed position with a change of feet, and sissonne to arabesque. Simple Sissonne to the sides {a la second} dessous {duh-soo} and dessus {duh-shoe} with a change of feet with each Sissonne.
