Tour jeté 1

A brush jump step. Actually the real name is "Grand Jeté Dessus En Tournant" but Americans just say Tour Jeté. This step is a crowd pleaser if done high enough. Done with a split is even more effective. It starts with a large grand battement front with a huge demi plié, then jump as you do your grand battement, then both legs change positions in the air, behind you as your body turns over, landing on the other leg in demi-plié, in first arabesque. A virtuoso step and a fun step. Can be started at the intermediate level. You must learn to do this step well. Tour Jeté.
