Frappé 2
(fra-pay)
Pronunciation
A barre step. It means to strike. A valuable step that teaches you where the floor is and to help you point your feet. Usually starts from second with the working foot pointed. From sur le cou de pied {100% pointed foot} thrust the foot out to second slightly brushing the side of the big toe, to knees straight position. Can be done front, side or back, with a double or triple beat, on rélevé. A good Frappé is worth working for. An easier version is done with the foot resting on the ankle or cocked instead of wrapped. Frappé with foot in the wrapped position, single and double. .
